That "star" would be brighter?

Therefore the luminosity is actually size depends on three things, (the largest source of light, which can radiate more light), (the hottest source of light, the light that radiates) and distance (the farther from a light source is, the regulator seems). If you use absolute magnitude, eleminate then away. The luminocity of a star is porportional to R ^ 2 x T ^ 4 where R is the radius of the star and T is temperature. As you can see, the temperature plays a role much larger than the size.
